I’m very excited for this month’s installment of Discovery. Our little disco party is still going strong and I couldn’t think of a better crew of DJ’s to keep Santos basement full of awesome music.

Based out of Chicago, Le Principle caught my attention last year and have been cranking out some amazing singles on the regular. Most of them were released for free during the holidays via their SoundCloud.

Ghosts Of Venice is the new project of Lee Dunn, one half of Youth Attack from Leeds, UK. He’s taking a new direction with his solo stuff, it’s awesome and I like it…

Many of you have had the pleasure of hearing Cullen Cole spin in Atlanta for years, and he’s put together a special disco house set from his amazing vinyl collection.

As usual it’s free before midnight with RSVP here. After midnight it’s 5 bucks with RSVP / 7 without..not too shabby for NY I’d say. Enjoy the songs, hope to see you Saturday!

NYC Discovery is this Saturday! JDH and Silver Disco

Our monthly disco shenanigans return this Saturday night at Santos Party Haus. We’re very excited to have JDH (of FIXED) and Silver Disco. As always, it’s FREE if you RSVP here! As many people know JDH and Dave-P, having had a huge part in spreading electronic dance music for years, I’d like to introduce everyone to the Silver Disco.

A Bronx native, Josh must have had a childhood secret door to Montmarté, needless to say my taste in music at 16 was….”not so much”. We started getting tracks from him in April and really liked where he was going, however, Josh wasn’t old enough to play any parties at the time! He’s continued to produce great tracks and had some birthdays (so he can play out legally). With a great ear for house music, and some very promising production, I see mirror balls and fog machines galore in his future.

Hope to see you Saturday night! <3

Duck Sauces

“DUCK SAUCE”, the random tweet you’ve been seeing since June…now out in the open as the disco house collaboration between A-Trak and Armand Van Halen, just released their second video for their amazing single aNYway.

As a disco house DJ, I see so many great artist and labels have a hard time getting attention or draw in the US. From the first time I heard Duck Sauce I was excited for my genre, hoping the big names would only spread the love of disco house to new ears.

The first video is an amazing Soul Train throwback, the second was done by Surface 2 Air, which doesn’t errrr….warrant a description, but is also amazing. They released aNYway and You’re Nasty on Beatport for a limited amount of time, the rest of the EP is coming this month and it’s sooooo good.

For those looking for a great disco house party, VDRK and myself started Discovery NYC in September and have been having a blast. The next one will be December 5th at Santos, I’ll post the details. Enjoy aNYway and the original Final Edition sample.
