The end is nigh! Major Lazer and his troops are closing in on Atlanta. In less than a week, he and his commandos will launch their assault on The Masquerade and the (un)suspecting masses. Booties will be popped. Asses will be clapped. Hands will be raised in the air like there is no care. He will be flanked by Rusko and Sleigh Bells and has since recruited hometown heros Hollyweerd so it just got extra serious.
Atlanta needs you, my friends, to be on the front lines as the Major and his goons attempt to set the city ablaze. Will history repeat itself? Possibly, but with far more entertaining results.

We Were Promised Jetpacks, Feb. 18 at Masquerade
One of our favorites of 2009, We Were Promised Jetpacks, will return to town this Thursday at the Maquerade.
We reviewed their 2009 debut LP, These Four Walls here. $10.
This track, “Roll Up Your Sleeves,” came off of the 2009 Fat Cat sampler.

Yeasayer, April 6 at the Masquerade
Brooklyn based Yeasayer’s latest Odd Blood will be in record stores like Decatur CD and Criminal Records tomorrow.
For the digitally oriented, the download is available tonight via Amazon pretty cheap.
They play the Masquerade on Tuesday, April 6. Tickets are $15 in advance.
