"There comes a time in every bands life when they must ask their selves “what are we doing?” Yeah we know life gets rough but, it’s the music that makes you want to forget about that sorry stuff. What are we doing? We are playing music!! Music that makes us dance, makes us sing, makes us want to keep playing songs for you with every entangled organ we own. We’ve heard the sad stuff and that just isn’t going to do. Truly ask yourself, look deep inside you and search for the answer… when was the last time you got your face painted? When was the last time you danced to some fun rock, baby? Tomorrow the light bill is due but tonight, without a doubt, we dance."1

DELTRON 3030: VIRUS

leave a comment

I wanna devise
a virus
To bring dire straits to your environment
Crush your corporations with a mild touch
Trash your whole computer system and revert you to papyrus
I want to make a super virus
Strong enough to cause blackouts in every single metropolis
Cuz they dont wanna unify us
So fuck it total anarchy
Can’t nobody stop us

You see late in
the evening
Fucked up on my computer and my mind starts roaming
I create like a heathen
The first cycles of this virus I can send through a modem
Infiltration hits your station
No microsoft or enhanced dos will impede
Society thinks thier safe when
Bingo! harddrive crashes from the rendering
Alot of hackers tryed virus’s before
Vaporize your text like so much white out
I want it where a file replication is a chore
Lights out shut down the entire whitehouse
I dont want just a bug that could be corrected
Im erecting immaculate design
Break the nation down section by section
Even to the greatest minds its impossible to find

I wanna devise
a virus
to bring dire straits to your environment
crush your corporations with a mild touch
trash your whole computer system and revert you to papyrus

I want to develop a super virus
Better by far then that old y 2 k
This 3030 the time of global unification break right through they
terminals, burn em all
Slaves to silicon
Curupt politicians with leaders and thier keywords
F.B.I and spys stealin bombs
Decipitate thier plans in thier face and catch the fever
Everybody loot the stores get your caned goods
Even space stations are having a hard time
Beast keeepers seek to take our manhood
Which results in the form of global aparthied
Ghettos are trash dumps with gas pumps
Exploding and burnt out since before the great union
The last punks walk around like masked monks
Ready to manipulate the data base and break through em
Human rights come in a hudreth place
Mass production has always been number one
New Earth has become a repungnent place
So its time to spread the fear and the thunder some

I wanna devise a virus
to bring dire straits to your environment
crush your corporations with a mild touch
trash your whole computer system and revert you to papyrus
I wanna devise a virus
to bring dire straits to your environment
crush your corporations with a mild touch
trash your whole computer system and revert you to papyrus

DELTRON 3030 WEEK: POSITIVE CONTACT

leave a comment

[Del]

Transmutation, brand new statements
I’ll have you gapin, open
Check it out y’all

Now let’s see – Deltron Z
Art avenger, let’s start the adventure
Hit ya with nerve gas, absurd blasts
Crashin space craft, I’m bio-enhanced
Hiero advanced series, monstrous evolution
Headed, tooth and nail, scoop the trail
Super-sleuth, a new race
Mad creator, savage nature
World Wide Web, the ebb and flow
Light years from watchful eyes while my thoughts provide
objectives to ostracize the pompous prophecies
Underground societies are hard to lead
Asteroid surfing, castor-oil burping
The darkest side of humanity animated
The grand awakening, plan to take it in
I demand your patronage, mobilize my battletanks
With clusters small, NTR’s to empty Mars
Many MC’s cruise low earth orbit
Easier for me to use my search warrant
Drift by a star, absorb it, and store it
Leave tourists pourous, my galaxy’s gorgeous
Quantum jump – I’m right at your doorstep

[Kid Koala cuts:]
Positive contact
(wait a minute)
Positive contact
(I know perfectly well what it is you’re talking about)
Positive contact
(wait a minute)
Positive contact
(even if the record skips, I still rip)

[Del]
Now I catch more wreck with fast ignition
My last decision, pulse amplification
Terror with napalm, I want y’all to stay calm
Alien annihilation, I stay armed to the grill piece and kill beef
20 percent matter, 30 percent is energy
Assimilating to become a living being
Evaporative radiation fades your station
I get high as aviation

[Kid Koala cuts:]
Positive contact

Positive contact

Positive contact
(even if the record skips, I still rip

[Del]
I rise like helium, you’re falling rapidly
Trapped in apathy, while I track your speed
I’m what you call a legend, dominance with armageddon
Gives me a warm reception
Verbal war with weapons, installation
Blowin the star dust, distance twelve parsecs
Enthuse your phalanx with my literary talents
Just a bit of balance, rip the silence
in space, all-star systems are our victims
Atomics, anonymous with ominous
implications of information, or information, and entertainment
Cyber-tech dialect, you gotta earn my respect
I’m like Gamera to amateurs, hit em with a cannonball
And in all this confusion
The fusion of music and mind precipitates translucent illusions
Search the ruins with Automator
Hit the walls with a carbonator
Hit-or-missiles, just regenerate
The sonic soldiers allow us to demonstrate
Emergency dispatch, skyscrapers ripped back
from the impact, their flow is mismatched
My style’s protected by heat shields and ceramics
Don’t panic, I landed on planet Mercury
Gave it atmosphere, set up my headquarters
I’ll never get captured here
Rap your tear clap your ear with Soulsonic Mantronik phonics
Turn your brain to an omelette
I’ll hold a comet in bondage, with my dominance
Take a space shuttle to escape trouble
Bounce through the Milky Way
Not many MC’s feel this way

[Kid Koala cuts:]
Positive contact
(wait a minute)
Positive contact
(yeah yeah, what is it now)
Positive contact
(wait a minute)
Positive contact
(even if the record skips, I still rip)

Thursday September 16th is the Reset!

leave a comment

The Reset is on Thursday, September 16th in the Drunken Unicorn cafe.

DJ Fudge is one of the hosts of the party.

DJ Fudge Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh)

For the most part, DJs all get their starts the same way typically working in someones basement, spreading around to the house parties and weddings, and eventually, with intense work, becoming the hometown favorite. Though DJ Fudge is no exception to that rule of thumb, he is far from the typical DJ and is exceptionally talented. He has the honors and medals to prove it.

Having memberships to such affiliations as: Smokin Needles Records (headed by DJ Rasta Root and Phife formerly of Tribe Called Quest; Second Sight Productions a working group of DJs, MCs, label heads, and producers; the TasteMakerDJs record pool and crew; and the 5 Star Generals crew there isnt much of the Atlanta club or radio scene that Fudge hasnt touched. You may have heard his grooves on 88.5 WRAS award winning show The Bomb or the instrumental hip-hop show Hush Hush. Being a General, he also lays claim to holding down the waves at 91.1 WREK on The WREKroom Renaissance and other stations on various nights as well.

When not floating the airwaves, he is a regular DJ for 3 Dot Productions, where he performs at the promotion companys large-scale events such as the nationally popular Breaklanta, extravaganzas. Being so well rounded, he has no problems moving the thespian world by performing in art galleries around the city such as the Atlanta College of Art, Trinity Gallery, and the High Museum of Art.

Still with a wealth of talent to show, Fudge can rock with live musicians such as Slick and Rose and Womack. He has had the opportunity to work and open for artists such as Slum Village, Joi, Fertile Ground, Psyche Origami, J-Zone, and Phife Dawg. If that still isnt enough, Fudge has also had the pleasure of moving the crowds overseas including a stint with 5 Star Generals for the DefKut Records Fonky tour in Europe.

DJ Fudge is now the newest member of the hip hop group MSEIZE! So you can now catch them on stage bringing that real hip hop to the masses. Fudge has also just released his lastest mixtape called "All You Can Drink". So be sure to check for that and many other projects from him and MSEIZE.

It is not often a DJ with this much versatility and style comes along. Liken him to that of a comet: It breezes by, the wonder of it grabs you, and everyone talks about the experience for days!

Sinister Moustache are performing second.

A swathe of black, wrapped in shadow. Can it be? The hair of the left hand itself, borne on the lips and skewed minds of four individuals singular in purpose. Behold! The Sinister Moustache.

"Never boring or predictable is what makes Sinister Moustache so much fun to listen to. Hypnotic with out of this world melodic thought passages make Songs From The Super-Sargasso Sea just an amazing record. Peculiar? Absolutely. These guys are down right brilliant." -SEAOFTRANQUILTY.COM

"Their style of confrontational, technical, mostly instrumental art-metal is just about the opposite of commercial." -Connect Magazine

"Each song is like a piece of avant-garde classical music they've translated into their own language...there is rarely repetition, rarely a time signature or a tempo that doesn't get flipped at some point, and rarely does Sinister Moustache give their listeners longer than a moment to relax into it. " -Murmur Magazine

The Humboldt Trio are the openers.

The Humboldt 3The Humboldt Trio has been a band since early 2008 with two founding members, jerad and clayton. Jerad and clayton have been in bands together for a few years now. DELTRON 3030 WEEK : 3030

leave a comment

Yes Yes yall, and ya don’t stop lol. One time for hip-hop. Last week I hit yall with a Bambatta and Soul Sonic Force exploration. And thats just what we’re doing here, exploring. But we’re gonna call it Discovery?. Its like we all explore together and we discover shyt, that easy. And for this Discovery? we are visiting Deltron 3030 which was release sometime in 2000. I was put on to this by Dosa and Tunde back in 2008, and the second it hit my ears I was like “Whaaaaat is this!?!” So, I did a little more home work on it and its a pretty big deal (excluding those who already familiar). From what I’ve found, I do feel like this is concept of all concept albums to my knowledge. I think Del the Funkee Homo Sapien of the archetypal underground hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics, really full bodies the whole project. I mean dude really takes it there for hip-hop/rap by just doing something that really hasn’t been done before. He takes the core elements of futuristic sci-fi that we find so captivating and fascinating, throws them into bottle with true emceeing and just spits it all out, bar for bar! Del’s way original futuristic flow (keep in mind this came out in 2000 way before Young LA and futuristic swagg move lol) hits you up side the head, like “wtf am I hearing?” dropping lines with shyt about cyber war lords, nueromancers, gravity control, nanoseconds, and bouncing through portals. The coolest thing about it is he take the lyrics to a whole other dimension while keeping one foot on the ground without “going over the head” with it by putting it all in a cohesive story. Of course Del doesn’t pull off this high-wire, genre bending, lyrical massacre all on his own. To really put the project together Del is accompanied by Dan the Automator, (producer) and Kid Kola (DJ). Dan the Automator master crafts the tracks by drawing an audiable landscape for each track with an errier outerspace, post-galatic war kinda feel, while Kid Kola lends turntablist surgery to tracks throughout the album. And together they bring you Deltron 3030, a space hip-hop opera set in the distant year 3030. The concept album’s story centers around protagonists Deltron Zero ( the Funkee Homosapien’s alter ego ) and his sidekicks Automator and Kola, as they battle cooperate oligarchy control through physic matter rap battles; in addition to, random blurbs of spectacular uncommon subject matter that fill the album. But you be the experiencer, because throughout this whole week I’ll be posting up tracks and lyrics. And on friday we’ll see what group was totally inspired by the whole deltron 3030 project. Enjoy +

Yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, hero, not no small feat
its all heat in this day and age,
i rage your grave,
anything it takes to save the day
nueromancer, perfect blend of technology and magic
use my rappin so you all could see the hazards
plus entertainment where many are brainless
we cultivated the lost art of study and i brought a buddy
automator harder slayer fascinating combinations
cyber warlords are activating abominations
arm a nation with hatred we ain’t with that
we high-tech archeologists searching for nicknacks
composing musical stimpacks the song
crack the motor what you think you rappin for?
I used to be a mech soldier but I didn’t respect orders
I had to step forward, tell them this ain’t for us
living in a post-apocalyptic world morbid and horrid
the secrets of the past they horded
now we just borded on a futuristic spacecraft
no mistakes black its our music we must take back

yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

del i’m feeling like a ghost in a shell
i wrote this in jail playing host to a cell
for the pure verbal, they said my sentance was equivalent to
murder
just another hurdle, i bounced through a portal
i knew they had the mindstate of mere mortals
my ears morphed to receptors to catch ya
every word about gravity control
and the families they hold for handsome ransoms
on the run with a handgun blast bioforms, I am more
than a planetwide manhunt with cannons
will make me abondon my foolish plan of uprising
f**k dying I hijack a mech
controlling with my magical chance so battle advance
through centuries a hip hop legacy, megaspeed
hyperwarp to automator’s crib and light the torch

they can’t fight the force,
victory is ours once we strike the source
enterprising wise men look to the horizon
thinking more capitalism is the wisdom
and in prison all citizens in power with rythm
we keep the funk alive by talking with idioms

yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

yo its three thousand thirty,
I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

isn’t eternal evil concerned with thievery
medieval prehistoric rhetoric well we ahead of that
lay it down with soundwaves that pound pavement
original minstrals my central processing unit
is in tune with my heart for this art
not artificial cuz that makes it hard to miss you
copy cats finish last in the human race
staying glued to safes to prude to take a buddah brak
we got [espers] that let us bless with fresh shit
undetected by yes men questing for five fleeting nanoseconds of
fame
protecting the brain from conspiracies against my cosmos
while i float to neo-tokyo with opio

but I can make a kickin rhymes thats sacred
telepathic mind that takes its greatness from the matrix [esper]

canibals eat human brains for dessert
buried under deap dirt, mobility innert
i insert these codes for the cataclysm
ever since I had the vision use my magnitism

Dragon*Con is only 4 days away!!!

leave a comment

I’ve been telling lots of people about this. Educating even. Last year was my first year and we were unprepared for the awesomeness that is Dragon*Con. I’m not a nerd girl or anything but I am nutty over costumes and the fact that for 4 days in Atlanta there are 4 hotels (listed below) that are COMPLETELY OVERRUN with thousands of people in costume, neigh, character. And most people have 1 awesome costume for each day. Like. I get dizzy just thinking about it.

They’re the largest of it’s kind in the nation so if you’re a fan person by all means get some tickets and go! If you’re apprehensive then go Friday or Saturday night, b.y.o… and hang out. There are 4 hotels all in a block of each other (2 across the street from each other) so you can walk around and see for yourself. There are also A LOT of conference rooms that are open to non-ticket holders that you can check out. Like we did this one where it’s dub your own Anime which was kinda hilarious. They even had dub your own Hentai later in the evening but the line was SUPER long to get in and passersby mentioned MC Chris was about to perform so we were all “Peace out!”

Click here for the full schedule or here for schedule grid only. Or here for more info.

See you there!
